Since joining TMCI, Marissa Dunn has helped hundreds of people get access to the prescription medicines they need in her role working with prescription assistance programs and the new Medicare prescription drug benefit. She has organized dozens of events across the Northwest providing assistance to patients, training health care professionals and raising awareness about the programs available for seniors and low-income families. Her other roles include directing projects in allied development, Medicare, patient outreach, campaign coordination and event production.

Before her current role as Project Director at TMCI, Marissa Dunn served on the staff of the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and as a contributing writer publishing 13 grant success stories for the department. While serving as a communications specialist for DNR, Dunn completed forestland fire fighter training and performed field instruction and media-relations duties during the 2005 Washington state fire season.

Prior to her work at DNR, she was the 2004 statewide Campaign Coordinator for the successful Committee to Re-Elect Doug Sutherland Commissioner of Public Lands. She performed similar duties as the Eastern Washington Campaign Coordinator for the successful statewide Initiative 872 that reinforced Washington 's open primary election structure. Dunn began her career in public affairs at the Washington State Grange in Olympia, she was involved in Legislative work in areas of agriculture, education and the environment.

Dunn grew up in Eastern Washington and received a double major at the University of Washington in communications and social science with an emphasis in law, politics and economy.
