Pat Coussens has served as a public relations consultant and writer in the Pacific Northwest for more than 20 years.
As a project manager with Todd Myers Communications, Coussens contributes his skills shaped by his diverse experience in news reporting, legislative lobbying, sports public relations, corporate communications and freelance writing.
Pat also worked as a communications and publications specialist at T-Mobile USA headquarters in Bellevue, Wash. He served as public relations manager at the NBA’s Seattle SuperSonics from 1998 through 2006. At the Sonics, he wrote and edited content for ownership/executive communications, media relations, sales, marketing, corporate sponsorship and official team online and printed publications.
From 1995 through 1998, Pat was a newspaper reporter and section editor covering news and writing features for the Seattle Times Community News Group’s publications of the Highline Times and Des Moines News.
As a public relations writer and legislative lobbyist, Pat was a principal in the Portland-based public affairs firm of Spencer & Coussens. In Salem and Olympia, he managed projects for clients including Pfizer, the Oregon State Sheriffs’ Association, Oregon Restaurant Association and McMenamins Pubs & Breweries.
Pat holds a degree in journalism from the University of Oregon. He resides in the Seattle area.
